Lab Technician

We’re looking for a detail oriented Lab Technician to join our Corporate Lab Services Department within our team within our Winnipeg Office at 140 Otter Street.
As a Lab Technician you will provide support to various functions within the Lab Services department, sample testing and generating data. The incumbent must have the skills, capability and willingness to be trained for a broad range of tasks and responsibilities.

What You'll Do
- Conduct full Security Evaluation on all new games or games with production changes ensuring ticket security for Pollard Banknote
- Record test results on QA Security Test
- Collect and account for start and end voids and evaluate voids in accordance to Lab operating manual
- Complete and distribute Laboratory Inspection Reports when required
- Promote effective communication between departments and provide feedback to manufacturing throughout production run
- Ensure safe work practices are followed
- Calibrate certain equipment, fill chemical bottles and other duties as assigned

- A responsible individual who can work under pressure and maintain accuracy with strong attention to detail
What You'll Bring
- Post-secondary education within the field of Sciences, Lab Technician diploma and/or related work experience
- Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to perform work with high degree of accuracy
- Ability to follow established procedures while working independently with a minimum amount of supervision
- Effective decision-making skills and capable of making sound independent judgments
- Must be capable of lifting weights up to 40 lbs.
- Previous lab experience would be considered an asset
- Flexible and available to work 12-hour shifts (days, evenings or nights)
- WHMIS Certification
