Package Operator

We’re looking for eager to work , machine operator professional to join our Finishing department, in the position of Package Operator. The schedule will follow a 3-day work week, working 12-hour shifts within our Sault Ste. Marie Plant at 45 White Oak Drive East.

Reporting to the Plant Manager and Assistant Finishing Manager, The Operator is responsible for operating and maintaining the packager, book breaker, and smart feed conveyors to meet production flow as well as direct staff on the line accordingly.

What You'll Do

  • Ensure quality of the printed product is in line with customer expectations
  • Responsible for the continuous movement of product along the packaging lines
  • Responsible to complete game change-overs and review game specifications
  • Required to complete and log necessary reports in an accurate and timely manner
  • Ensure employees at the packaging lines are following and maintaining customer requirements
  • Ensure packager cameras are capturing accurate data and void books that are damaged
  • Maximize the utilization of production line equipment to meet production goals

  • A highly adaptable team player who can handle multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
  • An analytical, detail-orientated problem-solver, with strong attention to detail skills
  • Ability to effectively adapt and reprioritize work
  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift to 40 Ibs

 

What You'll Bring

  • Grade 12 Diploma
  • Prior manufacturing or production experience preferred and leadership experience as asset
  • Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting ability
  • Computer skills and experience working with automated machinery
