We are looking for an Intermediate DevOps/Monitoring Specialist with a strong foundation in modern observability practices and tools. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on experience in building and maintaining observability platforms that support scalable, cloud-native environments. You will work closely with platform engineering, SRE, and development teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and visibility across our infrastructure and applications.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions using Grafana Cloud and Grafana OSS 

  • Customize and manage Grafana Alloy pipelines for telemetry data collection and transformation 

  • Build and optimize observability for AWS services, focusing on CloudWatch metrics and logs 

  • Implement observability for EKS clusters, leveraging Prometheus, OpenTelemetry, and Istio 

  • Monitor and analyze database performance, with a focus on Amazon RDS 

  • Instrument applications for tracing, profiling, and visibility, using modern observability standards 

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to define and track KPIs and OKRs related to system health and performance 

  • Contribute to infrastructure-as-code efforts using Terraform (preferred) 

  • Support deployment and configuration of observability tools using Helm charts (preferred) 

  • Advocate for and apply SRE principles, platform engineering best practices, and development productivity tooling

  • You take ownership of your work, communicate clearly across engineering and product teams, and enjoy building scalable, data-driven monitoring solutions that make systems more predictable and resilient. 

 

 What You’ll Need: 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in observability, DevOps, or related IT roles 

  • Proven experience with Grafana Cloud and OSS, including alerting, dashboarding, and SLOs 

  • Experience customizing and deploying Grafana Alloy 

  • Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (EKS) observability using Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and Istio 

  • Strong understanding of AWS observability tools, especially CloudWatch  

  • Familiarity with database monitoring, particularly Amazon RDS 

  • Experience with application instrumentation for tracing and profiling 

  • Solid understanding of observability concepts such as metrics, logs, traces, and events 

  • Ability to work well in a multiple location team 

  • Ability to work with application teams and lead observability efforts
