We’re looking for a Quality Assurance (QA) Manager to join our Quality Assurance team within our Winnipeg Office OR Remote.
The Quality Assurance (QA) Manager is responsible for defining, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. This role involves leading the QA team, developing testing strategies, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to uphold quality standards. The QA Manager ensures compliance with industry regulations, drives process improvements, and leverages automation to enhance efficiency. Additionally, the QA Manager is responsible for coordinating all testing roles, overseeing test planning and execution, and providing detailed quality assessments and reports.

What You'll Do
- Quality Assurance Strategy: Establish, implement, and refine QA strategies, policies, and processes.
- Product Quality Standards: Ensure products meet defined quality, performance, and compliance standards.
- Testing Efficiency: Optimize test planning, execution, and automation to enhance software quality.
- Team Leadership: Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing QA team.
- Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate risks in the development and testing phases.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with development, product management, and operations teams to align on quality objectives.
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to relevant industry regulations and standards. Reporting & Metrics: Formulate go/no-go statements based on reports, test progress, and defect status.
- Communication: Act as the primary liaison between the QA team and internal/external stakeholders.
- Cloud & Automation: Implement test frameworks and cloud-based testing solutions.
Who You Are
Supervisory Responsibility:
- The QA Manager mentors and guides the QA team, ensuring adherence to QA processes and best practices. They oversee the development and execution of test plans and cases while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Fiscal Responsibility:
- Sharing the responsibility for managing budget allocations for QA tools and resources. Involvement in cost-benefit analyses for QA processes and tool implementation.
Internal/External Contacts: Internal Contacts:
- QA team members, Development teams, Product Managers, Business Analysts, Project Managers, and IT support staff.
External Contacts:
- Clients and stakeholders for requirements gathering and feedback. Vendors for QA tools and resources.
What You'll Bring
Skills & Abilities Required:
- Leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Expertise in test planning, strategy, execution, and automation.
- Experience designing and implementing test frameworks for large-scale projects.
- Strong understanding of test management processes and best practices.
- Ability to track test status at both detailed and management levels.
Knowledge Required:
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, tools, and testing processes.
- Knowledge of Black Box, White Box, and Experience-based testing techniques.
- Knowledge of AWS or other cloud services.
- Experience in Agile development.
- Familiar with performance, security, and usability testing principles.
- Proficient in relevant testing tools and technologies.
