We’re looking for a Food Service Clerk to join our Cafeteria team in our Winnipeg Head Office for a 6-month term.

What You'll Do

• Provide friendly and efficient customer service by greeting customers, answering questions, taking orders, and resolving concerns in a professional manner.
• Prepare and handle food items including sandwiches, deli products, salads, baked goods, and hot foods while ensuring food safety and sanitation standards are met.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as grills and deep fryers in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of workstations, counters, display cases, kitchen equipment, and dining areas.
• Restock and merchandise food displays, shelves, and freezers to ensure products are well-presented and available.
• Receive and unpack shipments, verify orders, monitor inventory levels, and minimize waste by tracking product freshness and expiration dates.
• Process transactions accurately using cash, debit, and credit systems while following cash handling procedures.
• Support overall cafeteria operations and perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

• Customer-focused with strong interpersonal skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor
• Organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to maintain clean workspaces and accurate inventory
• Physically capable of standing for extended periods and lifting up to 25 lbs
• Reliable and able to follow direction while working independently or as part of a team.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment around hot equipment, coolers, and freezers.

What You'll Bring

• Experience working in a kitchen, cafeteria, or food service environment.
• Food Handler Certification (required or willingness to obtain).
• Knowledge of food preparation, food safety standards, and kitchen equipment operation.
• Basic cash handling experience is an asset.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM.
