Human Resources Specialist

We’re looking for a collaborative Human Resources Specialist to join our Human Resources team within our Omaha location. 

As a Human Resource Specialist, you’ll play a key role in supporting the people side of our manufacturing operations by delivering high-quality HR services across recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, and training coordination. You'll partner closely with hiring managers and employees to ensure smooth HR processes, enhance the employee experience, and contribute to the overall success of the business.

You’ll be the go-to resource for divisions in Adair, IA; Los Angeles, CA; and Bristol, PA, helping to attract top talent, support new hires through onboarding, and ensure benefit programs run efficiently. Your ability to build trust, navigate multiple priorities, and communicate effectively will be critical as you support teams in a fast-paced, manufacturing environment.

What You'll Do

  • Recruitment & Staffing
    • Drive full-cycle recruitment efforts, from job postings and resume screening to interviews and hiring decisions.
    • Partner with hiring managers to assess staffing needs, craft compelling job descriptions, and attract qualified candidates.
    • Ensure a positive and engaging candidate experience throughout the recruitment process.
  • Onboarding & Offboarding
    • Lead new hire onboarding, orientation sessions, and documentation to ensure a smooth start.
    • Manage employee records and coordinate offboarding activities, including exit interviews and final paperwork.
  • Benefits Administration
    • Administer employee benefit plans, including health insurance, retirement, and wellness programs.
    • Provide timely support for benefits-related inquiries and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.
  • Training & Development
    • Identify training needs through collaboration with leaders, surveys, and performance evaluations.
    • Design, coordinate, and evaluate training initiatives that support employee growth and development.
  • Employee Relations
    • Serve as a trusted resource for employee concerns, promoting a respectful and supportive workplace culture.
    • Support conflict resolution, disciplinary processes, and employee engagement initiatives.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, PHR) preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Specialist or similar role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, employment legislation, regulatory compliance and best practices.
  • In-depth understanding of federal and state employment laws and other labor regulations.
  • Experience in ensuring organizational compliance with employment laws and handling HR audits.
  • Experience with ADP and HRIS systems is preferred.
  • Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and SharePoint).
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Keen attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to travel domestically by air and car (valid driver's license required).
  • Ability to work well in a diverse environment.
  • External candidates must be a US Citizen/Permanent Resident.
  • Ability to pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
