We’re seeking a strategic,  hands-on Quality Assurance Engineering Manager to join our Quality Assurance team, either remotely or in our Winnipeg Office. This pivotal role is ideal for someone ready to elevate into senior leadership within the next 1–2 years, with a solid technical foundation, deep QA domain expertise, and a proven track record of leading engaged, high-performing, and globally distributed teams.

What You'll Do

  • Strategic Ownership: Develop and implement QA strategies that align with business goals, industry standards, and compliance requirements.
  • Leadership & Mentorship: Guide a diverse QA team across multiple geographies, fostering a culture of accountability, respect, and technical excellence.
  • Hands-On Leadership: Step in to address complex QA issues where needed—whether unfamiliar or high-risk—and drive resolution through collaboration and clarity.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Development, Infrastructure, and Business leaders to embed quality across the full SDLC.
  • Testing & Automation: Drive execution and refinement of automated, functional, regression, performance, security, BI, and accessibility testing across web, mobile, and tablet platforms.
  • Innovation & Standards: Evaluate and adopt emerging QA tools, automation techniques, and methodologies. Stay at the forefront of QA innovation, industry standards, and regulatory trends.
  • Knowledge Development: Identify knowledge gaps and lead targeted upskilling initiatives to build technical depth and domain familiarity within the team.
  • Cloud & SaaS Delivery: Ensure QA processes are scalable, reliable, and well-architected for SaaS environments hosted in cloud platforms like AWS.

What You'll Bring

  • 10+ years in QA Engineering across automation, performance, accessibility, BI, and security testing.
  • Proven leadership experience in remote or distributed teams, including direct reports and dotted-line relationships.
  • Experience with SaaS and cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and Agile SDLC models.
  • Hands-on expertise with tools such as Selenium, Appium, JMeter, Postman, TestRail, Jira, LoadRunner, and OWASP tools.
  • Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as ISTQB Advanced Level, CSQA, AWS Architect/DevOps, or similar.
  • Experience presenting complex technical topics to executive leadership and aligning them with business priorities.
  • Ability to travel within North America and Europe without restrictions is required.
