Quality Assurance Project Coordinator - 12-Month Term

We’re looking for a Quality Assurance Project Coordinator to join our Quality Assurance Department for a 12-month term within our Winnipeg Office.

The Quality Assurance Project Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the Director of Quality Assurance by managing and coordinating various QA projects. The role focuses on ensuring efficient project delivery, maintaining communication across teams, and supporting day-to-day operations. While the primary responsibility is project coordination, this role will also involve supporting the Director with operational oversight and key management activities.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope and manage expectations.
  • Track project progress, manage timelines, and adjust priorities to keep projects on schedule.
  • Coordinate and facilitate regular project meetings, documenting action items and ensuring follow-through.
  • Assist the Director of QA with operational tasks, such as compiling project reports, tracking departmental KPIs, and coordinating team activities.
  • Support the Director in the preparation of presentations, status reports, and other project-related documentation for leadership and stakeholder meetings.
  • Proactively identify and escalate project risks or issues to the Director of QA.
  • Ensure all project-related defects and issues are logged, tracked, and prioritized using tools such as Jira.
  • Coordinate with the testing team to ensure effective execution of test plans and timely resolution of defects.
  • Monitor team workloads and assist in reassigning tasks to balance demand and meet deadlines.
  • Support in identifying resource gaps and suggesting potential solutions to optimize team efficiency.
  • Maintain up-to-date project documentation, including test plans, schedules, and progress reports.

Who You Are

  • Comfortable working in Agile and Scrum environments, with a solid understanding of iterative development practices.
  • Familiar with test automation tools and CI/CD pipelines, and how they support efficient, high-quality software delivery.
  • A natural problem-solver with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset who thrives on overcoming challenges.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
  • 2+ years of experience in project coordination, preferably within a software QA or software development environment.
  • Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and other collaboration platforms.
  • Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with experience in working across diverse teams.
  • Ability to identify potential risks and issues in projects and work proactively to resolve them.
  • A high degree of professionalism and the ability to handle sensitive information with discretion
