We’re looking for organized Maintenance Schedular Planner to join our Maintenance Department team within our Ypsilanti Plant at 775 James L Hart Parkway.

Responsible for the short/long term planning and scheduling of maintenance work on production equipment and building systems coordinating staff to support the day to day operations of the plant. This includes preventative maintenance, planned work order requests for scheduled repairs, emergency work order requests for breakdowns and upkeep of documentation records for analysis and reporting in a computerized maintenance management system.

What You'll Do

• Ensure effective planning and scheduling to reduce downtime and costs
• Supervise, lead, direct and schedule a team of maintenance staf
• Support in the improvement of production output, reliability and life expectancy (prevent breakdowns) of equipment
• Coordinates priority of work orders with management and other relevant parties 40%
• Create shift schedules and assignments
• Schedule and assign the work to technicians and helpers
• Coordinate training
• Identifies safety hazards and procedures, including lock-out/tag-out  procedures and ensure other safety protocols are incorporated into the  plan
  

Who You Are

•  Ability to analyze information, coordinate resources and prioritize effectively by analyzing factors to meet the needs of the business in a timely manner
• Demonstrates the ability to lead and/or influence a team (Engineers, Operations and Outside 
  Suppliers) in the effort to solve and execute maintenance work
• Ability to document and maintain accurate records
• Ability to apply technical and maintenance experience to analysis of each job
• Provide expert maintenance advice to operations 
•  Ability to make well-informed thought-out decisions, examining impacts and potential impacts to support the business and is able to make effective decisions when information is limited

What You'll Bring

• 3 years’ work experience in the skilled trades and/or experience handling projects related to 
  maintenance or 5 years general supervision experience
•  Completion of training courses/programs in preventative maintenance programs and/or maintenance planning and scheduling would be an asset

Qualifications

Education:

High School Dipoloma or GED
