We’re looking for focused Lab Tech/Vision Operastor to join our Lab Department team for a quad shift within our Ypsilanti Plant at 775 James L Hart Parkway.

This position requires an employee to be trained to perform dual roles as a Lab Technician and as a Vision Inspection Operator.  This Job Description provides only a summary of the duties and responsibilities for each of the dual roles.   The Accountabilities, Job Duties and Responsibilities and other information outlined in the Job Descriptions for the Lab Technician and the Vision Operator will apply in full when the incumbent is performing in that role, except where differences are outlined below in this Job Description.

What You'll Do

• Ensures ticket security for clients through rigorous and reliable testing to provide precise and accurate reports on product security conformance according to company and customer specifications. When performing in this position, the incumbent will be supervised by the Supervisor, Lab
• When performing the duties of the Vision Inspection Operator, the incumbent is responsible for setting up, operating and maintaining the Lottery Ticket Inspection System (LTIS) equipment that is mounted inline on a 14-station Comco Proglide press or inline on a 22-station Tresu press.
• Utilizing images of live tickets captured during production, the LTIS vision inspection system identifies tickets that are non-conforming due to excess registration or color variation.  When performing in this position, the incumbent will be supervised by the Pressroom Supervisor(s).
• The frequency and duration the incumbent will be assigned to each role is based on need.

What You'll Bring

Qualifications:

Education: 

• High School Diploma or GED

Experience:

• Knowledge of Pollard Banknote’s instant ticket quality standards and ticket numbering formats
• Ability to read and interpret detailed game specifications
• Working knowledge of computer software including Microsoft Suite
• Attention to detail
• Manual dexterity
• Preference given to applicants qualified in Lab and/or Vision
• Understanding of and consistent adherence to Health & Safety, Quality and Security standards
