We’re looking for knowledgable Technical Support Specialist to join our IT Department team within our Ypsilanti Plant at 775 James L Hart Parkway.

Responsible for support of in-house engineering controls, manufacturing software applications, and the coordination of designated capital projects in a high speed printing/packaging environment. Participates as an active member of the Front Line Leadership Team providing strategic and tactical direction to the plant operations.

What You'll Do

• Provides recommendations on upgrades and high level support for all manufacturing applications including internally engineered systems and machine vision
• Supports operations and maintenance staff with diagnosing malfunctions in machinery and equipment, while maintaining company safety standards
• Regularly seeks information from all levels of the workforce and reviews challenges; actively participates in root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to identify effective and sustained solutions

• Assist in the roll out, training and support of manufacturing software applications and systems

• Other duties as assigned

Who You Are

• Ability to ensure projects are completed to plan (Budget, timeline, etc)
• Maintains existing software and provides input to ensure cost effective software solutions are developed
• Ensures safe work practices are adhered to in the performance of own work and direction of work of others

• Innovative problem-solver with ability to generate workable solutions, troubleshoot issues and resolve c

  omplaints.

• Must be reliable and responsible to work independently and be self-motivated to complete tasks without direct supervision. 

What You'll Bring

• High School Diploma (with 3 – 5 years’ related experience). 
• Prefer a 4-year degree in Computer Science.
• 3 – 5 years’ related experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.  Experience in troubleshooting technical problems and maintaining and tracking inventorying of supplies. Machine Vision preferred.
