We are looking for a Backend Software Engineer to join our team on iLottery Platform. 
As Backed Software Engineer you’ll work closely with cross-functional teams to design and build cutting-edge backend infrastructure for iLottery gaming solutions. Your contributions will extend to project and release planning, where you will help ensure the timely and successful delivery of our product.

What You’ll Do: 

  • Collaborate with teams in Serbia and Iceland to analyze, design, and develop the backend infrastructure for innovative gaming solutions for iLottery  

  • Document, test and deploy software to ensure high-quality deliverables 

  • Deliver well-structured, efficient and reusable code 

  • Participate in code reviews to maintain coding standards and share best practices 

  • Mentor and guide less experienced team members, fostering their professional growth 

  • Contribute to project and release planning, ensuring timely and successful delivery 

 

 

 What You’ll Bring:   

  • B.Sc. in Computer Science or equivalent 

  • 5+ years of experience in Enterprise Java development, with expertise in related frameworks (Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate) 

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases like PostgreSQL, as well as NoSQL databases 

  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining RESTful APIs 

  • Experience working with message queues – RabbitMQ preferred  

  • Hands-on experience with containerization tools like Docker and platforms like Kubernetes 

  • Knowledge of cloud technologies and services, particularly AWS 

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines 

  • Experience with monitoring tools like Grafana for visualizing metrics and improving system performance 

  • Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written) 

 

Nice To Have: 

  • Experience with reactive programming using Vert.x or similar  

  • Security-first mindset with the ability to implement secure coding practices
