We’re looking for a collaborative and solutions-oriented Application Developer, Analytics to join our Information Technology Development team for an 18-month term position. This is a remote role, with preference given to candidates located in Winnipeg.
This is an exciting opportunity to take on a term-based role focused on building high-impact backend analytics tools and infrastructure that support enterprise-wide decision-making. You'll join a small, skilled team working in a flexible environment, contributing to key data projects while gaining experience with modern cloud technologies and analytics platforms.

What You'll Do
- Design, develop, and maintain robust backend data applications and analytics dashboards that support enterprise-wide decision-making
- Build and optimize ETL pipelines and data workflows using tools such as Informatica, AWS Glue, and Azure Data Factory

Develop and maintain cloud-based data infrastructure, including
- Amazon Web Services (AWS): Redshift, Aurora, S3, Lambda, Glue and Quicksight for scalable data warehousing, transformation and visualization
- Microsoft Azure: Data Factory, Azure Functions, Synapse Analytics and Power BI for orchestrating data movement transformation and reporting
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and deliver secure, scalable, and high-performance data solutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable solutions
- Implement data modeling best practices and maintain data warehouse structures to support analytics and reporting needs
- Lead small-scale data projects, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business goals
- Translate complex datasets into actionable insights through interactive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI and AWS QuickSight
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and availability across systems through proactive monitoring and automation

What You'll Bring
- 3–5 years of experience in data engineering, backend development, or analytics application development
- Strong proficiency in ETL development, SQL, and relational databases (e.g., MySQL, Aurora)
- Experience with cloud-based data platforms, especially AWS (Redshift, S3, Lambda, QuickSight)
- Familiarity with data modeling, data warehousing, and performance tuning
- Exposure to Agile development and sprint-based workflows
- Bonus: Experience with Microsoft Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure Functions, Azure Synapse Analytics, Power BI)
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field is an asset
