
Financial Reporting Analyst

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Financial Analyst to join our corporate finance team to work within our Winnipeg office.
As a Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for consolidating financial results across Pollard’s subsidiaries, preparing external financial statements and supporting notes, and performing technical accounting analysis. This role requires a strong foundation in financial reporting, a solid understanding of IFRS, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams to ensure accuracy and compliance.

What You'll Do
- Consolidation of Pollard’s subsidiaries’ results into the corporate financial statements, including elimination of intercompany transactions and balances.
- Assist with preparation of quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&A.
- Work closely with subsidiaries’ local accounting teams to ensure accuracy of financial data.
- Provide financial analysis and support for various ad-hoc requests, including creating and delivering customized reports based on specific business needs.
- Support the consolidated budget process by collaborating with local subsidiaries, ensuring timely and accurate submission of budgets.
- Compilation and analysis of data to support the company’s annual insurance renewal
- Perform research and analysis on IFRS requirements and new accounting standards.
- Support the integration of newly acquired subsidiaries, facilitating proper consolidation of acquisition-related financial data and compliance with IFRS.
- Contribute to special projects including process improvements, system upgrades or strategic financial initiatives.

- A highly analytical, and detail-orientated individual with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
- Someone who is hands on, organized, self-motivated and possesses strong time management skills.
What You'll Bring
- CPA designation preferred; candidates actively working towards completion will also be considered.
- 3+ years of experience in financial reporting, consolidation and IFRS analysis.
- Tech savvy with proficiency using MS Office applications and experience with financial reporting software.
- A high level of initiative and a proactive approach to problem solving with a focus on process improvement.
