We’re looking for a Human Resources Generalist to join our Human Resources team and play an essential role within our Sault St. Marie production facility at 45 White Oak Drive East.
As Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive HR services to our local plant, collaborating closely with the broader HR and Health and Safety team and supporting HR business objectives.
Key areas of focus will include: full cycle recruitment, onboarding, fostering positive employee relations, overseeing performance management processes, ensuring health & safety compliance, and administering policies and procedures, all while being a key driver of our culture and core values.

What You'll Do
- Ensure all recruitment requirements of the company are met and that best qualified candidates are sourced (internally and externally) and integrated into the company
- Conducts new hire orientation training
- Provide guidance and direction on employee relations, corrective action, and performance management situations
- Supports the disability leave process and WSIB claims management
- Ensure adherence to corporate and site-specific HR policies and practices
- Complete HR related documentation in support of the day to day business requirements
- Participate in the development, implementation and ongoing support of HR strategies, projects, policies and workplace programs
- Champion an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement and safety
- Support Health and Safety policy development and process improvement ensuring compliance with provincial standards
- Participates as a member of the joint health and safety committee and is responsible for workplace inspections while promoting a safety-first culture

What You'll Bring
- Post-secondary education within the field of HR and 2-3 yrs of experience in a Generalist or similar role; CHRP designation an asset
- Broad knowledge and demonstrated experience leading; employee relations, full cycle recruitment, health & safety
- Experience supporting disability claims, both occupational and non-occupational, as well as return to work programs
- An excellent and thorough understanding of the Employment Standards Act (ESA) and regulations
- Proficiency with Microsoft applications – Word, Excel, Power Point and Share Point
- Experience practicing HR in a manufacturing environment would be an asset
